For this project we were briefed to work alongside ‘Ideal Solutions Building and Design’ to provide a bespoke bi-folding door solution for the property.

With this project we wanted to expose the external surroundings of the building and make them effortlessly complement the interior. To do this we used our six-part bi-folding door system, floating corner post and roof lantern, enabling our customers to seamlessly connect themselves to the outdoors. The end result is a stylish and modern finish that has a huge amount of practicality.

Bi Folding Door and Fixed Aluminium Windows - Fareham

Wanting to create one large open plan space, this customer opted to extend their living area whilst integrating it with the kitchen, so it becomes one when opened up on the patio. To allow for these specifications, Rococo installed a bespoke floating corner post bi folding door system to provide an unobscured view when the doors are open. A large fixed picture window allows natural light to flood in and the customer to visually connect with their garden.

Numerous site meetings with architects and structural engineers, and plenty of attention to detail was necessary to achieve the virtual flush threshold on the bi fold doors and ensure the project was completed meticulously.

Bi Folding Door with Floating Corner Post Design - Hampshire

This extension has been fitted with a cantilever roof system enabling our aluminium bi fold doors to slide in two directions with the addition of a removable corner post. Our floating corner post system means that the whole aperture can open up leaving no obstruction between the room and the garden. Created using a RAL colour 7015 (slate grey) and a marine grade finish, these doors are fitted with a recessed track to achieve a virtual flush finish.
