A Traditionally Styled Orangery in Winchester, Hampshire

Brief

To design and build a traditional styled orangery for this property in Winchester, Hampshire, including the installation of orangery windows and doors that visually and structurally blend into the existing structure and provide a luxurious area for the owners to enjoy throughout the whole year.

Design and Service 

Our design was focused on utilising traditional styled products such as timber alternative windows, fluted corner posts, French doors and a traditionally moulded external cornice in a bespoke sprayed finish to provide layering and elegance to the overall design. External brickwork was finished in a coloured render to help match the existing house colour, and provide a seamless transition between current and new.

End Results

We are very happy to report that we provided exactly what the customer had dreamt of, a stunning traditional orangery, which has enhanced and extended the home giving them a fabulous space to enjoy. Not only has the combination of oranagery, windows and doors created a new area for entertaining and relaxing, but delivered a thermally efficient and luxurious space. Low and high level lighting gives the customer the option to match the ambience with the occasion, whilst a tiled floor provides a cutting edge and clean finish throughout.

A slimline aluminium roof lantern has been used to maximise the impact of the light and ensure that this not only floods into the orangery below but also minimises the impact of light on the adjoining lounge.

With high quality insulation installed throughout all elements of the build (base insulation, cavity wall insulation and roof insulation) as well as solar controlled glazing and inclusion of underfloor heating, this space offer its owners the ability to enjoy an inside / outside living environment all year round. As with all our orangery projects, this installation has greatly increased the value of the home also.
